Covenant Community Care, Southwest Solutions and other healthcare partners teamed up to hold the “Healthy Solutions Wellness Fair” at our Waterman Outpatient Clinic on Tuesday (10/18). About 150 adults who are uninsured or underinsured came to the event. Free health screenings were provided for blood pressure, diabetes, heart function, vision, hearing, dental, and mental health needs such as depression and anxiety.

The event was the idea of Graciela Villalobos, director of Clinical Services at Southwest Counseling Solutions.

Southwest Solutions and Covenant Community Care have a strong partnership, and Paul Propson, executive director of Covenant Community Care, welcomed Graciela’s idea to hold the Wellness Fair.

“The Fair was a wonderful success,” Graciela said. “It was a good way for consumers to address health concerns that they may not be attending to because they lack sufficient insurance. We thank all the health professionals who made this event possible.”

In addition to the healthcare stations, the event featured information about a healthy diet and raffle prizes.
