Our PATH team received a Certificate of Excellence award from Detroit Employment Solutions Corporation (DESC) at a recent meeting of PATH providers. The award recognizes our PATH office for its outstanding job placement rate.

PATH (Partnership. Accountability. Training. Hope.) assists welfare applicants and recipients to become self-sufficient and integrated into the labor force, based on the workforce needs of Michigan’s current and emerging economy.

From the start of October last to the end of January this year, our PATH program has placed nearly two-thirds (64.4%) of those it serves into jobs.

“Helping our participants make career choices to become self-sufficient is how we change lives,” said Kimberly Sutherland, PATH Program Manager. “It is important to let people know that they have options, free training opportunities and resources available to help provide a better life for their families. This award is a tribute to our excellent team at PATH and our commitment to service.”
