Marquita Felder, Director of Children, Youth and Families at Southwest Solutions, is now a proud member of this year’s Leadership Detroit Class, which is Class XXXIX. The graduation event for the class occurred earlier this summer.

Leadership Detroit is an annual program for existing and emerging leaders in all sectors of the Detroit region. Each class has about 70 participants, who meet together once a month for 10 months to discuss, in a very open and honest manner, important topics in the region, including education, race relations, social equity, health and human services, arts and culture, and more.

Participants often find the program to be transformative, and they form strong and lasting bonds with their fellow classmates. The program is an an initiative of the Detroit Regional Chamber.

“What an amazing journey the program was,” Marquita said. “This experience has helped to broaden my lens on the various complexities of our region and how critical it is as a leader that I remain engaged and influence others to do our part in moving the needle to bring about positive change in this world.”

Congratulations Marquita on this wonderful accomplishment!
