On behalf of the 150 formerly homeless veterans who live at our Piquette Square, we thank the 13 volunteers from Lear Corporation who participated in the Spring Clean at the building on May 3.

“Just like any residence, stuff piles up in the apartments at Piquette,” said Chery Allen, Manager of Volunteer Services at Southwest Solutions. “The Lear volunteers partnered with the veterans to help them remove items such as old TV sets, clothing, broken toasters, empty boxes and more from their rooms to the dumpster that Lear rented for the Spring Clean. Any veteran who had something to add to the dumpster was included on the list to receive Tiger tickets for the May 18th game. It was a joy to work with such an incredible group of friendly and fun volunteers who are so committed to helping our veterans.”
