Volunteers from Ford Motor Company beautified garden beds at Clark Park on Patriot Day. The effort was part of the Ford Global Week of Caring (September 8 through September 16) in which the Ford Volunteer Corps participated in community projects around the world.
Jeff Klein, owner of Detroit Farm and Garden, helped manage the Clark Park project and provided resources.
“Clark Park is important community asset in our neighborhood, and we are grateful to Ford for its interest and initiative to maintain the park as an attractive place for families and visitors,” said Kate Brennan, with the Clark Park Coalition.
Patriot Day commemorates 9-11. It is a national day of remembrance of community service.
