More than 200 activists working to improve Detroit gathered for the Finding Common Ground conference. Mayor Bing was the keynote speaker. The theme of the conference was developing a consensus toward a comprehensive vision for a sustainable Detroit. The conference was profoundly informative and covered topics of urban strategies uniquely suited for Detroit, vacant land use, foreclosure, energy efficiency, urban farming, green jobs, time banks, and many other issues. Finding Common Ground was coordinated by the Warm Training Center and was held at the Gleaners Community Food Bank.
