Families from the Brightmoor community came to Mission City on August 17 for a job and resource fair that also featured fun activities for children.
Staff from Southwest Solutions helped adults access resources to advance their education and employment, improve their credit, and achieve or maintain homeownership. The Fifth Third Bank Financial Empowerment eBus was on hand and proved to be a popular venue.
Also participating in the event were: American Red Cross of Southeast Michigan, City Covenant Church, City of Detroit, Comcast, Covenant Community Care, Inc., Detroit At Work (DESC), Detroit Public Television (DPTV), Door Keepers, DTE Energy, Henry Ford Health System, Keller & Avadenka, P.C., Michigan Staffing, and more.
