Jamie Ebaugh Named Executive Director of Southwest Counseling Solutions

Southwest Solutions is proud to announce that Jamie Ebaugh has been appointed the Executive Director of Southwest Counseling Solutions. Jamie had been serving in the position on an interim basis since October last year. His assuming the role permanently is effective immediately.

As ED of Southwest Counseling, which is the largest division of Southwest Solutions, Jamie will oversee its three Centers of Excellence: the Housing Resource Center, Adult Outpatient Services, and Children, Youth and Families. Collectively, these three Centers serve more than 7,000 individuals and families a year.

Jamie has a Masters in both Social Work (Wayne State University, 1999) and Education (Loyola University of Chicago, 1985).  He has over 30 years of experience in services to individuals and families who have experienced homelessness and mental health conditions. His work in homeless services includes coordinated entry, emergency shelters, drop-in centers, safe haven, permanent supportive housing programs, and Veteran Services. His work in mental health includes extensive clinical experience with individuals living with serious and persistent mental illness, as well as work as a therapist helping those with mild to moderate mental illness and substance-use disorders.

Jamie joined Southwest Counseling in June 2007 as a Housing and Entitlement Specialist with the Housing Resource Center (HRC), which provides supportive housing services to individuals and families that have experienced homelessness. A year later, Jamie became the supervisor of PATH (Project for Assistance in Transition from Homelessness), an outreach program assisting mentally ill homeless persons who are not connected with existing services. The next year, in November 2009, Jamie became Director of Supportive Housing at the HRC. In September 2019, Jamie was named Chief Clinical Officer of Adult Services, overseeing the management and operation of all of Southwest Counseling’s adult services programs, encompassing all of the programs at the HRC and our Waterman Adult Outpatient Clinic. The HRC programs include Supportive Services for Veteran Families (SSVF) and Support Services at Piquette Square for Veterans, which together served over 550 veterans and their families last year.    

Jamie is spearheading Southwest Counseling’s implementation of the innovative Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinic model that provides comprehensive, integrated and more effective treatment. The CCBHC provides a full range of mental health and substance-use disorder services and expands access to vulnerable individuals.
