Build Your Future With YouthBuild

If you’re 18-24, a resident of Detroit, Highland Park or Hamtramck, and have an interest in the building trades, then you need YouthBuild! The program is free.

Our next cohort will start February 1 and will be a mixture of virtual and in-person training. Each student will be provided a loaner laptop for the program.

With YouthBuild, you’ll:

• Receive GED Prep training
• Receive certifications in MIOSHA, First AID, MC3, and Work Keys to prepare you for a career skilled trades
• Rehab a home!!!
• Receive a stipend while you train
• Be a part of a student government and undergo leadership training
• Receive job internships and placement opportunities

YouthBuild is a 24-week program. No High School Diploma or GED is required to enroll. All you need is a strong work ethic and an interest in learning skills that can build into a well-paying career.
