Chrysler Group’s World Class Manufacturing Academy (WCMA) Mobile Unit is designed to teach kids about technology through fun, interactive activities. The WCMA Mobile Unit has come to our Larkins Early Learning Communities (ELC) twice in the past five months. The most recent visit was last Friday (April 10) and was attended by more than 30 families and 90 children. The children had a chance to design and color their own cars on a smart board. They also played educational apps on iPads set up in the mobile trailer. The purpose of the WCMA Mobile Unit is to make technology more available to children in disadvantaged communities. Chrysler Group partners with the United Way for Southeastern Michigan to provide access to the WCMA Mobile Unit. This video was filmed when the WCMA Mobile Unit came to the Larkins ELC just before Thanksgiving last year.
