Individuals hoping to buy their first homes in the near future attended a special event on August 27 organized by Bank of America and Southwest Solutions.
Attendees heard presentations from Southwest Solutions about how they can put themselves in a good position to become homeowners by improving their credit , budgeting properly, and taking a homebuyer education workshop. Bank of America’s Elia Reyes spoke about the special incentives that the bank is offering to make homeownership more affordable and successful, including America’s Home Grant, which can provide up to $2,500 in closing-cost assistance.
At the event, a drawing was held and two lucky winners, LaTasha Holmes and Nicole Harrell-Lockhart, each will receive $1,000 in down payment assistance from Bank of America. In addition, Allen Seelenbinder, Division Executive at Bank of America, made a surprise announcement at the event, informing all who attended that they will receive $400 in down payment assistance from the bank upon completion of a homebuyer education workshop at Southwest Solutions.
The event was held at the Westin Book Cadillac in downtown Detroit.
