The formerly homeless veterans living at Piquette Square have many needs, and we have been seeking donations to address these needs. Our Wish List effort has already generated an outpouring of community support, enabling us to provide many items for each of the 150 apartment units. The Piquette tenants are deeply appreciative of all these items that have helped them feel truly welcome and at home.

We are still seeking:  

• Room items such as bathroom rugs, area rugs, televisions, sponge mops, and toilet bowl/cleaning sets.
  
• Recreational items for community rooms such as a ping-pong table, air-hockey table, foosball table, and stationary bikes.
  
• Books for the library, particularly non-fiction titles in the genres of mystery, adventure, science fiction, and romance
  
• Bowls, pans and utensils for the warming kitchen. For nutrition education purposes, a mixer, a blender or food processor.
  
• Outdoor recreational items such as croquet or bocce sets, basketballs, baseballs and mitts, and a badminton set. Exercise supplies such as water bottles and running shoes.
  
• Technology aids such as USB flash rives and digital television converter boxes.
• Volunteer support for special events such as Veterans Day celebrations or summer barbeques; as well as periodic meals, classes and activities.
