Southwest Solutions’ "Be Part of the Solution" (BPOS) offers a unique opportunity to get an inside look at a vital organization and community. Our BPOS events are free and open to all interested individuals and organizations.

In about an hour, you will experience firsthand some of the highlights of Southwest Solutions’ work and meet some of our program leaders as well as people who were formerly homeless or have dealt with poverty, mental illness or illiteracy. These include parents, residents, artists and others who are now helping to restore the southwest Detroit community.  

During the event, our visionary leader John Van Camp will speak passionately about the mission that has fostered a
healthier southwest Detroit.

So far, more than 900 metro Detroiters have taken advantage of this unique opportunity.  Many of them:

• Share a commitment to Detroit’s housing and commercial revitalization
• Are interested in supporting persons with mental illness
  
• Are seeking to give back to the community or have ties to southwest Detroit
  
• Want to increase literacy among children and adults
  
• Hope to end homelessness
  
• Have heard about Southwest Solutions and are curious about the work we do
  
• Have an interest in veterans issues and ensuring they receive the services they need and deserve
